License Number: PB00091503 (AR)

Richard “Garrett” Ham was born on Blytheville Air Force Base to two Air Force members. He grew up on various Air Force bases before returning to Arkansas for good in 1995. While he graduated from high school in Cabot, he has called Northwest Arkansas home since 2007, where he lives with his wife and two beautiful children. While his career has brought him all around the country, he is happy to be back home, where he intends to spend the rest of his life.

Garrett graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2007, where he graduated first in his class. He then proceeded to study at the University of Arkansas School of Law, graduating third in his class in 2010. After passing the bar, Garrett began work with Walmart’s Real Estate Division at the Walmart corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. From there, he went on to serve in the Arkansas Army National Guard and as a Benton County prosecuting attorney before cross-commissioning into the United States Air Force.

In the active duty Air Force, Garrett served as a JAG officer for four years, obtaining the rank of Captain and being selected for Major before leaving the service. During his time in uniform, Garrett served as Chief of Military Justice at both Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida and Shepherd Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he was responsible for overseeing all military justice actions, including administrative discharges and courts-martial. He also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, where he was responsible for prosecuting civilians who committed criminal offenses within Air Force jurisdiction.

In 2019, Garrett resigned his commission upon completing his tour of duty and received an honorable discharge from the service. After leaving the Air Force, Garrett moved to New Haven, Connecticut to begin working toward a Master of Divinity at Yale University. After graduating from Yale, Garrett finally returned home to Northwest Arkansas. Garrett now serves as the principal broker and CEO of Weekender Management, Inc. In that role, he is responsible for overseeing the company’s direction and ensuring compliance with all ethical and regulatory requirements imposed by Arkansas law and the Arkansas Real Estate Commission. He also owns the Ham Law Firm and teaches courses at the University of Arkansas School of Law and in the University of Arkansas’ Operations Management Program.

Garrett received his license to practice law in 2010 and his principal broker’s license in 2021.
